What is Fearless Photographers?
FEARLESS PHOTOGRAPHERS is a unique directory of the world’s boldest wedding photographers.
We are very selective about the images that you see on our site. We only want to show our best! Thus only less than the top 10% of all images submitted by over 900 photographers are worthy to be called Fearless Awards and are showcased on the Fearless Photographers site. It’s considered a great honor among our photographers to have earned these Awards.

Who started Fearless Photographers?
Fearless Photographers is the innovation and labor of Huy Nguyen, Olivia Brown and the many photographers at the Foundation Workshop Forum.
Huy is a ridiculously accomplished photojournalist, wedding photographer, and photography educator based near Seattle, WA. His work can be found at {love, unscripted}
Olivia is a trailblazing, badass, super-woman photographer with ties to Canada and the deep south. See her work at oliviabrownphoto.com
Our expert curators round-out the Fearless team: Anna Kuperberg, Ben Chrisman, Sergio, Dave Cheung of DQ Studios and Mark Pawlyszyn of Unique Images Photography.

What’s a “Fearless Award”?
Fearless Awards are given to photographs that excel in redefining wedding photography or are just darn amazing! Less than one out of ten images – 10% – are selected by our curators. Our photographers submit many, many great images but we only want to show the very best work from this keenly talented group of photographers.
Who made you the experts?
Our curators have a tough job but they’re all fabulously talented internationally-praised professionals with a refined sense of art appreciation and fearlessness. We also incorporate a select few insightful photographers as guest curators to help us with the selection process.
How come there aren’t many images of details or decorations here?
There are already many photography directories to help you gather ideas for decor, dress, and planning out there. They’re really fun to browse through! However, this is a site for couples who really love photography and who are seeking the photographer with a distinctive vision for their wedding day.
How do I contact these photographers?
The photographers’ contact information is on their profiles pages.
Why are you listing the photographers with the most Fearless Awards first?
On most directories, the photographers are listed in alphabetical order or by how much they pay. At Fearless Photographers, we’d like to think that you’d want to consider the photographers with the most awards first. Of course it’s up to you to decide whose work and style you love most and contact whoever you like.
Do you guarantee the work of these photographers?
Fearless Photographers is only a listing service for you to find photographers. Each photographer is an independent business and is therefore responsible for their own services. Each have unique pricing structures and package offerings to meet your needs.
What is the “Availability Request”?
It’s a convenient service for you to see which photographers are available for your date and willing to work within your budget. You let us know when and where and we’ll let you know who’s available. Simple!

How many photographers are listed?
Since we began on Jan. 1, 2011, we’ve added over 900 Fearless Photographers to the site.
How can I be listed on Fearless Photographers?
Fearless Photographers is open to all photographers who are willing to strive for distinctive wedding photography! If you’d like to join our organization, please request by using this contact form. (Fearless Photographers reserve the right to refuse membership to anyone. We’re a fun, friendly group and we want to remain that way)
What’s the cost?
There’s no annual membership fee for Fearless Photographers in 2012. However, we collect a one-time activation fee of $79 to set up your membership and profile page. From then on, you only pay $2 per entry for your Fearless Awards entries.
Now that I joined and have a profile page, how do I add images to my gallery?
Only Fearless Awards may be added to your gallery. Every 2 months, we accept entries for Fearless Awards. Once images are submitted, our curators will select the best images – top 10% – to be deemed Fearless Awards. Only these images will be added to Fearless Photographers and into your gallery.
Does that mean brides will only see the our best images?
Exactly!
How do I enter images?
We have a round of entries every two months. The next round is Round 8 and the deadline is February 15, 2012.
Are there really brides who love photography? I mean, aren’t most of them just looking for the least expensive photographer who’ll tell them what they want to hear?
More and more couples realize the lasting value of great photography. Brides and grooms are educating themselves, and know that great photography relies on multiple factors like: using top-of-the-line equipment, having great people skills, and being able to shoot quickly in all sorts of challenging lighting situations. Couples now know that choosing a highly skilled and peer-approved photographer is the best way to ensure a collection of visually stunning wedding images that pack emotional punch. We’re here to serve these brides and grooms.

Round 9 entries are due on April 1, 2012 – entry form will be available about 14 days before
Round 10 entries are due on June 1, 2012 – entry form will be available about 14 days before
Round 11 entries are due on August 1, 2012 – entry form will be available about 14 days before
Round 12 entries are due on October 1, 2012 – entry form will be available about 14 days before
Round 13 entries are due on December 1, 2012 – entry form will be available about 14 days before
Round 14 entries are due on February 1, 2013 – entry form will be available about 14 days before
